Sergey Karev is a russian artist born in Leningrad, USSR in 1977. He graduated from Saint Petersburg State Art and Industry Academy in 2006. Karev's works are in the permanent collection of the Erarta Museum of Contemporary Art. He is known for weaving forms together with meanings and making them crystalize into static objects. Karev's art can be described as an exploration of the natural in its cultural context.
