After completing his studies, he returned to his native region. From 1950 to 1993, he lived and worked in Liptovský Mikuláš. He had an atelier in Trstená as well. He was engaged in both chamber and monumental sculpture, medal engraving, and drawing. In 1950, he became a member of the Union of Slovak Visual Artists. From 1960 to 1980, he worked on the sculpture committee of the Slovak Fine Arts Fund. His artistic view was also formed by foreign study trips. A whole range of his sculptures are exhibited in galleries throughout Slovakia. From his extensive medal engraving work, the most well-known public medals are those for wedding day and the birth of a child. In monumental work, he created dozens of monuments (Janko Kráľ - Nitra, Ján Šverma - Valašská, Ľudovít Orphanides - Hybe, Ján Štefánik - Klenovec). He designed memorials to the SNP and liberation in Tisovce, Žiar, Zvolen, Ostredok, Lubeník, Smrečany, Jakubovany, Vrbička, Bobrovce, Ružomberok. Among his most significant works is the Monument to the Liberation Battles on Háj - Nicovô above Liptovský Mikuláš, where he designed sculptural and relief decoration. He was also a co-founder of the Gallery of P. M. Bohúň and the Janko Museum.
