Baruch Vergara

Biografia:

Baruch Vergara is a Mexican artist who has lived and worked in Puerto Rico. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from the University of the Americas, Puebla, Mexico, and a Master's degree in Aesthetics and Art from the Autonomous University of Puebla, Mexico. Vergara has taught art at various universities in both Mexico and Puerto Rico, including Interamerican University of Puerto Rico. He is currently an art professor at the same university. His work often references historical topics and well-known paintings, recontextualizing them to create new meanings. One notable example of his artwork is 'El Atlas de México,' which was created in 2005 using oil on canvas.
