Beham's early life was characterized by an intense focus on developing his artistic skills. He learned from his brother and Albrecht Dürer, which laid the foundation for his future success as a master engraver. His work, particularly during the 1520s, positioned him at the forefront of the German printmaking school, earning him a place among the 'Little Masters'.
