Biografia:
Cirillo Manicardi was an Italian painter of oils and watercolors, mainly of genre interiors. He was born in Massenzatico, Italy in 1856 and died in Reggio Emilia, Italy in 1925. He studied at the Regia Scuola di disegno per operai, under Gaetano Chierici and Cirillo Manicardi, and later at the Academy of France and the Accademia di Belle Arti. He exhibited his works in important exhibitions, including the Venice Biennale, and worked for important patrons, including the Medici family. In 1903, he became a Friar, taking the name of Fra Paolo (Brother Paul) and decorating various churches in Marche. He is known for his works such as 'That's how the world goes' (1883) and 'Così va il mondo' (1884).
