Biografia:
Carel Jacobus Behr was a Dutch painter, watercolorist and draftsman. He was born in The Hague, Netherlands in 1812 and died in 1895. Behr was a pupil of Bartholomeus Johannes van Hove and mainly painted cityscapes, genre scenes and portraits. In 1836, he produced an image of the town hall in The Hague, which was well received by art connoisseurs. He became a member of the Royal Academy in Amsterdam in 1837. His work has been exhibited in various locations, including The Hague in 1839, Rotterdam in 1840, and The Hague in 1841. One of his artworks is 'City Wall with Gunpowder Magazine' created in 1830.
