Biografia:
Daniel Leber is an Argentinian artist born in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1988. He was raised in Malaver, Partido de San Martin, within the Slovenian community, whose language he learned before Spanish. As a child, he became interested in music and drawing. Later, he studied art history and also attended painting and drawing workshops. He participated in artist residencies and coordinated projects in Buenos Aires and Santa Fe. In 2012, he joined the artist program at Universidad Torcuato Di Tella. His most significant solo exhibitions include “Pibelandia” (2012, Oncelibre), “Nueva Roma” (together with Juan Matías Álvarez, 2015, Espacio Diagonal), “Viaje de Ida” (2017, La Paternal Espacio Proyecto), “Pedo Místico” (with special participation by Fernanda Laguna, 2020, PM galería), “Leberinto” (2021, Isla Flotante), “Idea fija” (2022, Galería Calvaresi). Endorsed by UBA (University of Buenos Aires), he researched the work of Federico Manuel Peralta Ramos (2015 – 2018). He has received the Banco Itaú Award (2022) and the Oxenford grants (2019) and FNA creation scholarship (2013). Currently, he is dedicated to the study of symbolism and metaphysics.
