Biografia:

Elmira Shahtakhtinskaya was a painter, Honored Art Worker of the Azerbaijan SSR, and the People's Artist of the Azerbaijan SSR. She studied at the Azerbaijan State Art School named after Azim Azimzade (1950) and the Moscow Art Institute named after VI Surikov (1956). Her work includes posters and bench drawings with themes of peace and friendship among peoples and labor. She created a gallery of portraits of modern artists such as Uzeyir Hajibeyov, Huseyn Javid, Samad Vurgun, Sattdar Bahlulzade, Gara Garayev, Fikret Amirov, and others. Individual exhibitions were held in different countries and cities including Czechoslovakia, Bulgaria, Moscow, Kaunas, etc. She was awarded the 'Badge of Honor'. Her works have been exhibited in foreign countries such as Czechoslovakia, Bulgaria, Russia, Ukraine, Georgia, Baku, and Nakhchivan.
