Jean Voltaire Hector, also known as Jn V Hector or simply V Hector, was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti in 1952. He began painting in 1977, encouraged by his brother Roland Hector. He is known for his folk art painting and is considered one of the best naive painters in Haiti.
