Biografia:

José Ruiz de Almodóvar Burgos was a Spanish painter, professor at the School of Arts and Crafts of Granada, and member of the Cofradía del Avellano. He studied high school but devoted himself exclusively to painting from a young age. His specialties were pastel portraits and landscapes of the Sierra Nevada. He traveled through England in 1899 and 1900 and was a professor at the Granada School of Arts and Crafts for thirty years. He also served as an academic of Fine Arts in that city and a provincial deputy in 1926.
