Biografia:

Melquiades Rosario Sastre is a Puerto Rican Postwar & Contemporary artist who was born in 1953. He received his art education at the School of Plastic Arts in Puerto Rico (1975-1978) and the Art Students League of New York (1981). He is a sculptor, graphic artist, and draftsman. In 1982, he founded the Asociación de Escultores de Puerto Rico. In 1989, he received the Pollock-Krasner grant. He has exhibited his work in numerous key galleries and museums such as ArtSpace/Virginia Miller Galleries.
