Michael Salaman was a British painter born in Porlock, Somerset, England in 1911. He studied at the Slade School of Art (1928-1931) and the Ruskin School of Art, Oxford (1930-1931). In 1933, he moved to France and continued his artistic career. He was a member of an artistic Jewish family, which included his sister Merula Salaman. Michael Salaman's work has been offered at auction multiple times, with realized prices ranging from $1,000 to $10,000.
