Safaa Elset is a Syrian sculptor. She has been a stalwart of the Syrian art scene and her exhibition in Damascus evokes daydreaming to recall emotions of love, hope and yearning. Her conceptual works are as much a documentation of the changing face of a nation as they are of her own inner worlds.
