Takita Koichi is a Japanese ceramic artist born in Aizu Wakamatsu, Japan in 1927. He is known for his porcelain works that exude a sense of warmth and serenity. Takita learned the forming process of porcelain from Hamada Shoji, a renowned Japanese potter. Takita's works often feature plant designs and are characterized by their simplicity and elegance. He is considered one of Hamada Shoji's best-known pupils and has exhibited his works in various museums and exhibitions around the world. Takita is also known for his role as the first teacher at the Department of Ceramics Design at NCA, Lahore.
