Padmini Thampi was an Indian film actress, dancer and television actress. She was born on June 12, 1932 in Thiruvananthapuram, India. She was one of the highest paid actresses of the 50s, 60s and 70s and is known as one of the charming beauty queens of the Indian cinema. She was also known as one of the Travancore Sisters, along with her sisters Lalitha and Ragini. Padmini acted in Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, Telugu and Russian language films. She died on December 30, 1976 due to a heart attack.
