Pierre de Fonbrune was a French inventor and cinematographer born in Stenay, France in 1901. He is known for inventing the pneumatic micromanipulator and microforge. De Fonbrune worked with Dr. Comandon at the Centre de documentation de Boulogne-Billancourt around 1931, where they used a microcinematographe to conduct ethological and botanical research. Pierre de Fonbrune passed away in November 1963.
