Sudō Reiko is one of Japan’s most influential contemporary textile designers, renowned for creating innovative textiles, championing new sustainable manufacturing methods and working to highlight Japanese textile heritage. She is the co-founder of the textile company Nuno, founded in 1984 with Junichi Arai. Sudō Reiko is known for her traditional and innovative techniques. She is also known for her work in reinventing Japan’s textile traditions and for her role in the sustainable manufacturing methods.
