Zhang Dazhuang (1903-1980) was born in April, in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, Province China. He was the nephew of philologist and literary critic Zhang Bingling (1868-1936). He studied by himself, painting and calligraphy. He was a Chinese painter, from Hangzhou, Zhejiang. Formerly known as Yi, also known as Xinyuan, with the courtesy name Yangchu and Yanglu, also named Fu Chun Shan Ren. In his early years, he was influenced by the Lingnan School, and later he created his own style. He was a member of the China Artists Association. He died in 1980.
