Zinaida Kapitonovna Kurchatova was a Russian artist born in Irkutsk in 1948 and died in 1983. She is known for her painting 'Hurry to the band' (1983). She studied with Marina Abramović and is considered a political artist. She also initiated many artistic expeditions to distant parts of Ukraine and collected, processed, and archived the cultural heritage items from different regions of Ukraine. She is also known for her feminist activism.
