Breton Woman with Jug – (Cuno Amiet) predchádzajúca Ďalší

Artist:

Dátum: 1893

Veľkosť: 18 x 11 cm

Múzeum: Musée de Pont-Aven (Pont-Aven, France)

technika: Etching

During his time in Pont-Aven, Amiet only produced two works on the theme of Brittany. This print of a Breton woman is one of the two etchings,of which only three or four prints of each were made. He then returned to live in Switzerland. Works produced by Amiet during his time in Pont-Aven have become extremely rare, as many of them were lost to fire in the 1931 Glaspalast exhibition in Munich. Amiet’s work was inspired by Symbolism and Art Nouveau as well as Expressionism, and bears the mark of his international culture and close ties to a large circle of artist friends.
