Litograph by Baron of Forrester, Castello da Figueira – 1835 [Castle of Figueira da Foz] -, this is a work of art by one of the most emblematic personalities in the history of the Douro region: a man with a grand vision whose contribution for the development of the Douro wine region is still felt, namely in cartography and wine-growing. This lithograph makes evidence of the importance of Figueira da Foz and its harbour for the dissemination of Port wine through the world.
