Gaspar de Figueroa Saucedo was a Colombian painter born in Mariquita, Colombia. He was the son of Baltasar de Figueroa 'El Viejo' and Catalina de Saucedo. Gaspar de Figueroa is considered as one of the pioneers of portrait painting in New Granada (Colombia). His works are characterized by their religious themes, with a particular focus on the martyrdom of saints. He was active from 1637 until his death in Santafé, Colombia in 1658.
