Leonard Munn, also known as Shepherd L. Munn, was born in Madresfield, Worcestershire, England on May 31, 1878. He was an engineer who served as the chief inspector of mines under the Nizam rule in Hyderabad, India. Munn led a team of surveyors who drew up maps for the municipal limits of Hyderabad city. He died in Hyderabad, Medak, Andhra Pradesh, India in 1935.
