Biografi:

Housai Matsubayashi was born in Uji, Japan in 1950. He was the eldest son of the 15th generation of the Asahi kiln, a kiln with over 400 years of history in Uji. He learned the art of pottery from his father and became the 16th generation of the Asahi kiln. He used the traditional clay passed down from previous generations to create traditional works such as deer-shaped and red deer-shaped vases. He died in 2015 at the age of 65.
