Abraham bar Jacob the Proselyte was a German-born Jewish artist who converted to Judaism from Christianity. He worked as a copper engraver in Amsterdam and is known for his collaboration on the Amsterdam Haggadah of 1695, which included a series of engravings and a map of Palestine with Hebrew lettering. His other works include title pages to various books, an amulet for women in childbirth, and a wall calendar for 130 years with baroque illustrations.
