Anfim Andreevich Khanykov, also known as Khanikov Anfim, was born in 1977 in Russia. He is a contemporary artist known for his paintings and sculptures. One of his notable works is 'Crucified Shiva', a sculpture that inverts the most classic Christian myth by giving his Christ as many hands as had a Hindu deity, Shiva. Khanykov's work often touches on biblical stories and themes. He had an exhibition called 'Desert Angel' which ran for an unspecified period. Khanykov is also known to be a devoted orthodox Christian. He has had his work featured in exhibitions and museums such as Garage Museum's first triennial of Russian contemporary art, and Google Arts & Culture. There is also a book about his work called 'Mémoire sur l'ethnographie de la Perse'.
