Assaad Arabi

Influenced by his memories of Syria, artist, theorist and critic Asaad Arabi has developed his painting style to depict cityscapes, rhythms, and sensual body expressions of his characters. He trained in the school of Abstraction at the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Damascus and then went on to become a renowned colourist. He also received his PhD in Aesthetics from the Sorbonne University in Paris. His paintings explore the city through abstraction, from pure abstraction to geometric abstraction.
