Azuma Makoto is a Japanese flower artist, botanical sculptor, and co-founder of JARDINS des FLEURS. He was born in Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan in 1976. He started his career as a rock musician but later found his passion in flowers. He was inspired by his job at the Ota Market, one of Japan's largest flower and produce markets. He is known for his complex techniques to render plants eternal. He is also known for his sculpture 'Paludarium Shigelu'.
