Terechkovitch, Constantin (Kostia) was born in Moscow, Russia in 1902. He was a Russian-French painter and graphic artist, known for his Impressionist landscapes. Terechkovitch studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Moscow before moving to Paris in 1920 to study at the Académie de la Grande Chaumière. He became a prominent member of the School of Paris, a loose community of artists centered in the cafes, salons, and shared workspaces and galleries of Montparnasse. Terechkovitch lived and worked in La Ruche, a complex of studio apartments and other facilities in Montparnasse, until his death in Monaco in 1978.
