Dino Aranda is a Nicaraguan-born, American contemporary artist who was part of a group of Latin artists living in New York and Washington D.C. that made significant contributions to the contemporary art of the 1960s, 70s and 80s. He was born in Managua, Nicaragua in 1945 and began his career as an artist at the School of Fine Arts in Managua between 1957 and 1963. He is known for his evolving journey of artistry that spans several decades, reflecting significant transitions in contemporary art. His works are featured in permanent collections and have been exhibited in galleries and museums, including the Smithsonian American Art Museum.
