Dan Hadani is a Polish-Israeli photographer and photojournalist. He was born in Lodz, Poland in 1924 as Dunek Zloczewski. During World War II, he survived the Holocaust and was deported to Auschwitz. After the war, he immigrated to Israel in 1948 and served in the Israeli Navy for 17 years. In 1965, he founded the Israel Press & Photo Agency (IPPA), which covered events in Israel until 2000. Hadani has documented many significant moments in Israeli history, including the establishment of the State of Israel and the Six-Day War. His photographs are held in high esteem and have been exhibited in various museums and galleries around the world.
