Yi Yi, also known as Edward Yang, was a Taiwanese cinematographer born in Hanseong-bu, Joseon (now South Korea) in 1947. He died in 2007. He is known for his work in the 'new wave' of Taiwanese cinema during the 1980s, with films such as 'Ce Jour-là sur la plage' and 'Yi Yi'. He is also known for his collaboration with Hou Hsiao-hsien on films such as 'La Cité des douleurs' and 'Les Fleurs de Shanghai'.
