Elmas Deniz is a Turkish visual artist born in Bergama, Turkey in 1981. She lives and works in Istanbul. Her concept-driven artworks explore the intersections between economy and nature, and the points where they entangle with each other. Elmas Deniz has participated in numerous residency programs and received grants from various institutions such as SAHA Studio, Zilberman Gallery Residency, Pistoletto Foundation Unidee, Sextant de Plus - La Friche Belle de Mai, DIVA residency, Garanti Platform CAC studio grant, CPH Air residency program, Berlin Goethe Institute Culture-Program artist grant, Vasl Artists' Collective, IASPIS expert visitor program, and FRAME expert visitor program. She has also exhibited her works in solo and group shows at various galleries and museums including Bilsart, Odunpazari Modern Museum (OMM), Zilberman Gallery, Nesin Art Village, MutualArt, maumauworks, Ocula Artist, İKSV, Saha, themovingmuseum.com, and others.
