Engel Leonardo is a Dominican Postwar & Contemporary artist who was born in 1977. He works with various mediums, from sculpture to installation, site-specific interventions, and readymades. His work addresses issues related to the climate, nature, and their intersection with politics and society. Engel Leonardo has exhibited in numerous key galleries and museums such as MCA, Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago; Kadist, San Francisco/Paris; and Museo de Arte Moderno, Santo Domingo. He currently lives and works in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
