Feodosy Nikolayevich Krasovsky was a Russian Empire and Soviet astronomer and geodesist. He was born in Galich, Russian Empire in 1878 and died in Moscow, Soviet Union in 1948. He was known as 'Saint Fedos' by his students for his scientific work. He made notable contributions to geodesy and was a leading figure in the development of the SK-42 reference system, also known as the Krasovsky 1940 ellipsoid. He was also a notable writer in Russian language.
