Francesco Longhi was an Italian painter born on February 10th, 1544 in Ravenna and died there in 1618. He learned painting from his father Luca Longhi who was also a renowned artist of the time. Francesco's works were influenced by Venetian Mannerism and he followed the principles of Counter-Reformation art. His notable paintings include 'La visione della beata Chiara di Rimini', 'Madonna con il Bambino e i santi Matteo e Francesco', and 'Vierge à l'Enfant et Sainte Anne'.
