Gerardo Oberto is a talented visual artist residing in Córdoba, Argentina. His work is predominantly pictorial, spanning a wide range of traditions, eras, origins, and even disciplines such as painting, engraving, and drawing. He has obtained several distinctions, including the Creation Grant from the National Fund for the Arts in 2019, the Third Prize in Painting from the Banco de Córdoba in 2018, a Special Mention at the Itaú Visual Arts Award in 2017, and an Acquisition Mention from the Central Bank of the Republic of Argentina in 2015. In 2014, he won the First Prize at the Provincial Salon Agencia Córdoba Cultura, and in 2010, he received the 'Young Artist' Mention from the Banco de Córdoba National Painting Award. He was a finalist for the National Visual Arts Salon and the Banco Nación Award in 2008. In 2006, he won the Stimulus Prize 'From Shadows to Light' in Rosario, and in 2005, he received the First Prize for Young Creators of the Province and the Second Mention at the 27th City of Córdoba Salon and Prize. His work has been exhibited in galleries, museums, and international fairs, and can be found in public and private collections.
