Giovanni Antonio Bartolomeo Rizzi Zannoni was an Italian cartographer and geographer. He was born on September 2, 1736, in Padua, Italy. Rizzi-Zannoni studied at the University of Padua from 1749 to 1751. He then traveled to Turkey and Russia before starting his career as a cartographer in Poland in 1753. He worked for various European powers, including Prussia and Naples, creating maps and atlases. In 1781, he was invited by King Ferdinand IV of Naples to create a topographic map of the kingdom. Rizzi-Zannoni's most famous work is the Atlas geographico del regno di Napoli, which he completed in 1812. He died on May 20, 1814, at the age of 77.
