Giovan Battista Carini was an Italian painter born in Ferrara in 1538 and died in Venice in 1612. He was a pupil of the Venetian painter Jacopo Bassano. Carini's style was influenced by the Venetian school, but he also incorporated elements of Mannerism and the Baroque. He was a member of the Accademia dei Desiderosi and the Accademia degli Incamminati.
