Hamra Abbas is a Pakistani contemporary artist known for her mixed-media works that explore themes of identity, culture, and politics. Born in 1976 in Karachi, Pakistan, Abbas received her Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from the Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture in 1998. She went on to earn her Master's degree in Fine Arts from the National College of Arts in Lahore in 2000. Abbas's work often incorporates elements of Pakistani culture, history, and politics, and has been exhibited internationally in galleries and museums such as the Sharjah Biennial, the Museum of Modern Art in New York, and the Tate Modern in London.
