Hazir Reka is a Kosovar photographer born in Pristina in 1963. He has been documenting the evolution of his country since 1981, starting with the student protests of the 1980s and continuing through the resistance, war, and independence of Kosovo. He has witnessed the transition from analog to digital photography and has captured iconic moments of resistance, such as the photo of the Albanian flag raised over the Serbian parliament building in 1990. Reka's work has been exhibited in galleries in Austria and Kosovo, and he is known for his commitment to documenting the history and resistance of the Albanian people.
