Heinrich Philipp Bossler was a renowned German music publisher and impresario. He achieved his importance as a publisher of original compositions by the Viennese classics, including Ludwig van Beethoven, Wolfgang Amadé Mozart, Joseph Haydn, and Ignaz Pleyel. As an impresario, he organized concert tours across Europe and Russia with the star virtuoso Marianne Kirchgeßner on the glass harmonica. Bossler is also considered a pioneer of music journalism, publishing rich anthologies that surpassed contemporary music journals in quality and content. He invented a new printing machine for fast, affordable, and precise music notation, producing some of the most beautiful and original prints of his era.
