ชีวประวัติ:
Joseph Biays Ord was an American artist born in Philadelphia in 1805. He was the son of George Ord, a noted scientist. In 1821, he traveled to Europe to study Old Masters and in 1824, he exhibited two still lifes at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. He is known for his still life paintings, including 'Fruit' (1844), and his choice of subject may reflect the new fashion for shell collecting.
Joseph Biays Ord was born in a family of scientists and artists. His father, George Ord, was a well-known scientist who had made significant contributions to the field of natural history. Joseph's early life was marked by a strong interest in art, and he began his training at a young age. He studied under several prominent artists of the time, including Thomas Sully and John Neagle.
Joseph Biays Ord's artistic style was characterized by his use of vibrant colors and bold brushstrokes. He was particularly known for his still life paintings, which often featured fruit and other objects. His choice of subject may have been influenced by the new fashion for shell collecting, which was popular during the 19th century. Some of his notable works include 'Fruit' (1844), 'Still Life with Apples' (1850), and 'The Basket of Fruit' (1860).
Joseph Biays Ord died in Philadelphia in 1865, at the age of 60. He was buried in the Woodlands Cemetery, where many other notable Americans are also buried. His work continues to be celebrated by art lovers around the world, and his legacy as a master of still life paintings remains unchanged. https://Wikioo.org/@/Joseph-Biays-Ord https://Wikioo.org/Art.nsf/All-Popular-Artists https://Wikioo.org/Art.nsf/Timeline https://Wikioo.org/@@/A@D3C5ZH https://Wikioo.org/Art.nsf/Art_EN?Open&Query=general+grant+his+family,general,grant,family& https://Wikioo.org/@/Samuel-Sartain https://Wikioo.org/Art.nsf/Art_EN?Open&Query=samuel+sartain,samuel,sartain& https://Wikioo.org/@@/D3SHF9-John-M-Boyd-Crucifix-From-the-Vicinity-of-Mora https://Wikioo.org/@/Jean-Leon-Gerome-Ferris https://Wikioo.org/Art.nsf/Art_EN?Open&Query=the+bath,bath& https://Wikioo.org/@@/D4BFS3-Jean-Leon-Gerome-Ferris-The-Bath https://Wikioo.org/@/Aaron-Harry-Gorson https://Wikioo.org/Art.nsf/Art_EN?Open&Query=allegheny+river+dawn,allegheny,river,dawn,mill+scene+toward+evening,mill,scene,toward,evening& https://Wikioo.org/@@/D77FUN-Edgar-Jerins-Priscilla-Payne-Hurd-(Payne-Gallery-in-background) https://Wikioo.org/@/Edgar-Jerins https://Wikioo.org/Art.nsf/Art_EN?Open&Query=priscilla+payne+hurd,priscilla,payne,hurd,payne+gallery+in+background,gallery,background& https://Wikioo.org/@@/D5GJ9F-Aaron-Harry-Gorson-Allegheny-River-Dawn-(Mill-Scene-Toward-Evening) https://Wikioo.org/@/Robert-Kulicke https://Wikioo.org/Art.nsf/Art_EN?Open&Query=robert+moore+kulicke,robert,kulicke& https://Wikioo.org/@@/A@D3AGTM-The-Museum-Pennsylvania-Academy-of-The-Fine-Arts-(Philadelphia-United-State.. https://Wikioo.org/@/Joseph-Biays-Ord https://Wikioo.org/Art.nsf/All-Popular-Artists https://Wikioo.org/Art.nsf/Timeline https://Wikioo.org/@@/A@D3C5ZH https://Wikioo.org/Art.nsf/Art_EN?Open&Query=general+grant+his+family,general,grant,family& https://Wikioo.org/@/Samuel-Sartain https://Wikioo.org/Art.nsf/Art_EN?Open&Query=samuel+sartain,samuel,sartain& https://Wikioo.org/@@/D3SHF9-John-M-Boyd-Crucifix-From-the-Vicinity-of-Mora https://Wikioo.org/@/Jean-Leon-Gerome-Ferris https://Wikioo.org/Art.nsf/Art_EN?Open&Query=the+bath,bath& https://Wikioo.org/@@/D4BFS3-Jean-Leon-Gerome-Ferris-The-Bath https://Wikioo.org/@/Aaron-Harry-Gorson https://Wikioo.org/Art.nsf/Art_EN?Open&Query=allegheny+river+dawn,allegheny,river,dawn,mill+scene+toward+evening,mill,scene,toward,evening& https://Wikioo.org/@@/D77FUN-Edgar-Jerins-Priscilla-Payne-Hurd-(Payne-Gallery-in-background) https://Wikioo.org
