Karol Radziszewski is a Polish artist, painter, installation artist, author of photographs and videos, curator and publisher. He was born on January 10, 1980, in Białystok, Poland. Radziszewski works with film, photography, installations and creates interdisciplinary projects. His archive-based methodology crosses various disciplines. He is a co-founder of the flying gallery Szu Szu and has been consistently developing the heritage of the LGBT+ community with special emphasis on male and female artists from Central Europe. The Queer Archive Institute - QAI - he has set up is a one-man institution which documents achievements of artists from the countries of the former Eastern Bloc, who had no chance to become known to the general public due to geopolitical factors. Radziszewski rewrites life stories, returning the right place in history to people who had been deprived of it. He has participated in several international biennales and has received various awards, including Paszport 'Polityki' in 2009 for visual arts.
