Keinin Sumiyoshi (漢文, 1535 – 1619) was a Japanese Buddhist priest and painter of the Muromachi period. He was born in Kyoto and died in 1619. He was a member of the Sumiyoshi school of painting and was known for his ink and color paintings on silk. He was also known as Keion Sumiyoshi. His works often depicted religious figures and scenes, and he was particularly skilled at depicting the expressive faces and gestures of his subjects. He was a contemporary of the famous artist Hasegawa Tōhaku and was highly regarded in his time. His works can be found in museums and private collections around the world.
