Rute Ferraz is the Chief Executive of the European Federation for Welding, Joining, and Cutting (EWF), an organization dedicated to education, training, qualification, and certification in the field of welding and related technologies. She has been at the forefront of revolutionizing the welding industry for over 30 years. Rute's journey began with a passion for technical subjects, leading her to specialize in Mechanical Engineering and eventually become a driving force in welding qualification and certification. Under her leadership, EWF has developed international harmonized systems for training, qualification, and certification, ensuring the manufacturing sector has access to highly skilled personnel worldwide. She is also a recipient of the International Meritorious Service Award from the American Welding Society (AWS).
