Ogtay Sadigzade was born on February 21, 1921, in Khizi, Azerbaijan. He is an Azerbaijani painter and a representative of the Azerbaijani visual art. Ogtay Sadigzade studied at the College of Art in Baku from 1935 to 1939 and attracted the attention of art critics with his early works. In 1941, he was exiled as a member of a repressed family but continued his work despite difficult conditions. After returning to Baku in 1946, he began engaging in book graphics and achieved significant success in this field.
