Saiyna Bashir is a Pakistani photojournalist currently based in Islamabad, Pakistan. After studying journalism at the Columbia College, Chicago, Bashir worked as a staff photographer for Cap Times in the US for two years. She then returned to Pakistan and has been working as a freelance photojournalist since then. Bashir has a focus on documenting migration, gender, healthcare, and climate change in her images. She has been accepted to the Eddie Adams Workshop, the New York Times Portfolio Review, and the World Press Photo Joop Swart Masterclass. Bashir is also a TEDx speaker and has given talks about her work and experiences as a female photojournalist. She is currently represented by Panos Pictures.
