Smat Suwannapong, also known as Samat Suwannapong, was born in 1964 in Chonburi, Thailand. He is a Thai artist who acquired his graduate degree in Painting, Sculpture and Graphic Arts at Silpakorn University. He was a lecturer at the Faculty of Painting, Sculpture and Graphic Arts at Silpakorn University. He was also a member of the selection committee for the 55th National Exhibition of Art. Suwannapong's work has been recognized in several national competitions, including the 37th National Exhibition of Art, 1991 where he received the 3rd Prize, Bronze Medal Award in Painting, and the 35th National Exhibition of Art, 1989 where he received the 3rd Prize, Bronze Medal Award in Painting for his work 'Relationship between the colours and the Decorative Designs in Thai Architecture -J'. He is currently a professor at the Faculty of Painting, Sculpture and Graphic Arts at Silpakorn University.
