Albert Christian Friedrich Woebcke was a German sculptor, painter, and graphic artist. He attended the Altona School of Arts and Crafts after an apprenticeship as a stone sculptor and worked as a freelancer after the war. Woebcke was supported by the director of the Hamburg Kunsthalle Gustav Pauli, among others, and mainly created nudes and small sculptures. He was influenced by Aristide Maillol, whose acquaintance he made on a trip to Paris in 1924.
